What does the engine assembly include
The engine assembly includes fuel supply and regulation system, crankshaft connecting rod mechanism, valve train and intake, exhaust system, starting system, lubrication system and cooling system, and body components.
1. Fuel supply and regulation system
Its main function is to provide the required fuel for the formation and combustion of the mixture in the cylinder of the internal combustion engine. There are also many differences in the structure and working principle of the fuel supply and regulation system for compression ignition internal combustion engines and point internal combustion engines.
2. Crankshaft connecting rod mechanism
Its function is to transform the reciprocating motion of the piston into the rotating motion of the crankshaft, the action mode of the force changes, and the rotating power can be transmitted to the gearbox for reasonable distribution.
3. Valve train and intake and exhaust system
According to the combustion situation of the engine, the valve mechanism can appropriately adjust the amount of mixed gas supplied to the engine to maximize the combustion efficiency of the engine. The intake and exhaust system will automatically switch the valve intake or exhaust.
4. Starting system
It mainly works when the engine is started. The starter drives the flywheel to rotate, and the flywheel is connected to the crankshaft. At this time, the engine can be started only by fuel injection and ignition.
5. Lubrication system and cooling system
The lubrication system can also lubricate internal parts when the engine is working, and at the same time can transfer heat and take away some of the heat of the engine. The heat dissipation system is mainly responsible for the heat dissipation of the engine to maintain the engine in the normal operating temperature range.
6. Body components
It mainly includes the cylinder block, cylinder head, oil pan and other accessories of the engine. It is a mechanical part of the engine. The components can cooperate with the work of the engine and open in some special circumstances.
