DC cooling fans have a lot of plugs, and their functions must be figured out and properly set up and connected before those functions can be utilized.
1. Connection of temperature measurement signal. The temperature signal generally uses the thermistor as the temperature sensor for temperature sampling. Taking the Tt Venus 12 fan as an example, the temperature change causes the resistance value of the thermistor to change, so the input signal has no polarity.
Just put the thermistor between the CPU and the heat sink, then unplug the jumper of the yellow signal wire on the fan, plug the yellow signal wire of the DC cooling fan, and the connection of the temperature measurement signal wire is complete. .
2. The connection of the governor signal line. The manual governor is actually a variable resistor. When the resistance value is adjusted to the minimum (or short-circuited with a jumper), the speed of the fan is the lowest, and when the resistance is the largest (or the jumper is removed), the fan runs at full speed. There are two speed governors in the accessories of Tt Venus 12 fan, and one of them can be selected according to the situation.
It can be installed on the 3.5” floppy drive on the front panel of the mainframe, or in the slot on the back of the mainframe. Then connect the plug to the red wire socket of the DC cooling fan.
