Blown Fuse: Check the fuse that controls the radiator fan. If the fuse is blown, it will need to be replaced.
Faulty Fan Motor: The radiator fan has an electric motor that can fail over time. If the motor is faulty, the fan won't work. You can test the fan motor by applying direct power to it to see if it spins. If it doesn't, you may need to replace the motor.
Temperature Sensor: The radiator fan is controlled by a temperature sensor that monitors the engine's temperature. If the sensor is malfunctioning, it may not trigger the fan to turn on when needed.
Wiring Issues: Inspect the wiring and connectors connected to the fan and the temperature sensor. Loose or damaged wires can prevent the fan from receiving the necessary signals.
Relay Problems: The radiator fan may be controlled by a relay. If the relay is faulty, it can prevent power from reaching the fan motor. Test the relay or replace it if necessary.
Coolant Level: Low coolant levels can lead to overheating, which may cause the radiator fan to work overtime or not work at all. Ensure your coolant level is appropriate.
Air Pockets in Cooling System: Air pockets in the cooling system can disrupt the flow of coolant and affect the fan's ability to cool the engine. Bleed the cooling system to remove any air bubbles.
